Yes! I feel incredibly privileged to do a job that allows me to travel across South Africa and to other parts of the world. I’m always keen to travel. No matter where your wedding is, I will make a plan to be there. Weddings outside of KZN incur a flat travel fee whilst international weddings will be quoted for individually. Let’s chat about your specific plans.
I know how important this day is to you and how much the images will mean to you too. For this reason I don’t believe in holding back any photographs – you will receive every image that I believe to be important to the story of your day. In my experience this means you will receive at least 600 images. This includes a mixture of colour and black and white photos. Every image you receive is edited by me. You will receive the digital files in JPEG format via a private online gallery that can be shared with family and friends. I do not deliver any unedited RAW files as these are an unfinished product that does not reflect who I am as a photographer.
You can expect to wait up to 12 weeks for your wedding photos. I really do put a lot of time and effort into the editing process to make sure that each and every photo you receive from me is up to standard. If I manage to edit them sooner I’ll certainly let you know! I also always try my best to send a few ‘sneak peaks’ to you in the week following your wedding.
The second shooter assists me on the day and shoots alongside me. They are there to make sure nothing goes uncaptured. Whilst I may be busy with family photos for example, they are able to capture all the little moments happening behind my back. I only work alongside other skilled photographers who work well with me and produce work of a professional calibre. Their camera equipment also acts as a back up to mine.
You can contact me either through the contact form on my site or by emailing me: hello@annelizabethphoto.com. Kindly provide me with the details of your wedding day such as the date and venue as well as any other information you might think is relevant. I’ll let you know if I am available on your date and send through my pricing and some extra information about my approach to wedding photography. If you like what you see and want to make a booking (yay!) I’ll send you an invoice for the booking fee along with your booking agreement. Once the booking fee has been paid and agreement signed you will officially be penned into my calendar (double yay!).
I do believe that it is really important that you get along well with your wedding photographer. So if you would like to meet up for coffee before making the booking I am totally happy to do so. Just let me know and we will set up a meeting. Otherwise I am also happy to chat over Skype/Zoom.
I’m happy to take bookings up to 18 months in advance. Some months are more popular than others so I would suggest enquiring 6-12 months in advance if your wedding date falls in high wedding season.
Your wedding day timeline is something we will most certainly discuss together. Everyone is unique and I am always happy to work around your specific needs. However I am able to guide you as to how much time should be allocated to each portion of the day. The timeline that we establish together will act as a rough guide, leaving enough flexibility for last minute changes on the day.
Generally we will try to time things in a way that allows you to have your portrait session during the last hour before sunset as this provides us with the most flattering light. Sunset times change with the seasons so we will consult Google when deciding on a time.
This is totally up to you and depends on what you are hoping to get out of me as your wedding photographer. Whilst most couples opt for a 1 hour portrait session I have also shot for couples who have chosen to keep their portrait session 15mins long.
As mentioned I do believe that it’s so important to have a good relationship with your wedding photographer. If we get to know each other a little before the big day this will only result in better photos! For this reason I am always happy to meet or Skype with couples before they book me, should you request it. Otherwise we will also schedule a meeting around 6 weeks before the wedding to chat about your day as well as your timeline. If we are unable to meet in person we will set up a Skype/Zoom date.
